Maruti Suzuki Versa had been a big failure for Maruti Suzuki which is against the likings of Indian customers. Maruti is expected to gain the hearts with its new MPV - The Eeco. New Maruti Eeco is an affordable, good looking and comfortable Multi Purpose Vehicle. They have launched this new utility vehicle at the Auto Expo 2010 in New Delhi. Maruti Eeco resembles more or less same like the Versa.

New Maruti Suzuki Eeco combines both style and comfort. Its bold design and stylish body graphics symbolise power and also give it a balanced look. The Maruti Suzuki Eeco 5 seater variant comes with a powerful air-conditioner and heater making it comfortable in any weather. Maruti Eeco has spacious interiors and Omni van type sliding doors.

Maruti Suzuki has launched the Eeco MPV at a price of Rs 2.59 for the base model. Maruti Eeco is powered by a 1196cc petrol engine with five speed manual gear transmission that produce a maximum power of 73 Bhp at 6000 rpm with a maximum torque of 101 Nm at 3000 rpm. It is expected that the new Maruti Eeco offers a mileage of 15.1kmpl.

Maruti has also unvieled Eeco Charge - an electric Eeco which is powered by a 5KW lithium ion battery pack which gives the MPV a range of 100kms. Its top-speed is 100kph.
